Making Playdough
We decided to make some playdough last Thursday because we wanted to make some funny people with our new playdough toys.
We all helped to make it, but Ally had to pour and mix while the hot water was in the bowl. We talked about how to be safe when we are around hot water.
Here are our funny characters that we made. We need to give them a name! Can you think of one? |

School visits
Wow! What an exciting day we had today. We had 12 new friends visiting us in Room 3. They had some great stories to share and we are excited to have them join us in term 3.
Here we are visiting The Principal Carolyn in her office. She told us we can share our learning with her anytime. She likes to see what we are busily working on in our classroom. |
Thank you for having us visit Carolyn. We will see you soon with some art work for your office walls. :) |

Our first day of school!
Wednesday June 13 was our first day at Westmere School. We talked about the letter Ss and the sound it makes. We created a brainstorm of all the words we know thats starts with the letter Ss. We had so much fun with this that we had a try at writing the letter. Look how proud we are of our letters! Ally thought we did fantastic!
Talk to us about how we remember the letter and sound S. This is what we might sing to you:
Snakes are hissing sss
snakes are hissing sss
snakes are hissing sss
s is the sound that s makes.
(sing to the tune of skip to my lou)

Please share this blog with your family and friends and encourage them to comment on the fantastic work that they will see. We will read these comments together in our classroom and share our learning achievements with you through this blog.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to come and see me.
Let the blogging begin!
